The fine print

Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply when you enquire, order or buy from Key to Independence.

About these terms

These terms apply to enquiries made through this website and to the supply of equipment and supports by Key to Independence, based in Ballarat, Victoria. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Enquiries and quotes

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract. We will respond with information, availability and pricing. Any quote we give is valid for the period stated on it and is subject to stock and supplier availability.

Pricing

Prices shown on this site are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise. Where a product page shows a starting price, the final price depends on configuration, options and fitting. Prices may change without notice; the price confirmed on your quote or invoice is the price that applies.

Equipment trials

We offer trials on much of our equipment so you can find what genuinely suits you. Trial arrangements, duration and any conditions are agreed in writing beforehand. Equipment provided for trial remains our property and must be returned in the condition it was supplied, allowing for fair wear and tear.

Orders and payment

An order is accepted once we confirm it in writing. Payment terms are set out on your invoice. For NDIS participants, please see our NDIS ordering process, which explains plan managed and self managed invoicing. Goods remain our property until paid for in full.

Delivery and fitting

We deliver across Australia and fit equipment locally in the Ballarat region. Delivery timeframes are estimates and depend on the supplier. Some items, including special orders such as the Phoenix bag system, may take additional time; we will tell you the expected timeframe when you order.

Warranty and returns

Manufacturer warranties apply to the equipment we supply, and we will help you make a warranty claim. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law: you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Custom-configured and special-order items may not be returnable where there is no fault, so please talk to us before ordering.

Using this website

Information on this site is provided in good faith and is general in nature. Specifications are supplied by manufacturers and may change. Nothing on this site is medical, clinical or funding advice — please talk to your health professionals and your plan manager about what is right for you.

Intellectual property

Content on this site is owned by Key to Independence or its suppliers and may not be reproduced without permission. Product names and trade marks belong to their respective owners.
