Exclusive Victorian distributor

Strutt

Strutt build a smart everyday vehicle rather than a medical device — sensors that read the ground, suspension on all four wheels, and the range to make an ordinary day ordinary again. Key to Independence is the exclusive Victorian distributor.

Why Strutt

A smart everyday vehicle, not a mobility aid

Strutt designed these machines around three problems people kept describing: places that are hard to reach, the stress of moving through tight or crowded spaces, and the way a conventional mobility device can change how other people treat you.

Strutt call the result a smart everyday vehicle rather than a mobility aid, and the distinction is deliberate. We are the exclusive Victorian distributor, so we set your machine up, deliver it and support it ourselves. So you can trial the exact model of machine, confident it's right before you order and take delivery of your new machine.

Quad-Drive

Made for real ground

Quad-Drive pairs four-wheel independent suspension with torque that is redistributed in real time, so gravel, wet pavement and loose debris are less likely to spin a wheel. Drive goes through the rear wheels with actuated steering at the front, bringing the turning radius down to 780 mm.

Ground clearance is 80 mm and the machine will hold a climb of roughly 13 degrees, with speed limited automatically on a slope. The body is rated IPX5, so light rain is not a reason to stay home.

evSense — ev¹c only

It watches the whole way round

Lidar, time-of-flight and ultrasonic sensors work alongside cameras to give the vehicle a 360-degree picture of what is around it: lidar maps the shape of a space, the cameras recognise what things are, and the close-range sensors handle distances.

A bright touch-responsive LCD display stays readable in direct sun and tilts so you can set it where you can actually see it. There is a backup camera for reversing and a headlight for low light.

Copilot — ev¹c only

Help that stays out of your way

Copilot mode intelligently detects obstacles to prevent collisions by gently braking in front of furniture and sudden edges. In crowded spaces it responds smoothly, creating a calm protected space as you navigate around people and pets.

Co-pilot+ adds another level of ease, not only braking to prevent collisions but seamlessly adjusting your steering through corridors and lifts so you can stay in the moment. Strutt list Copilot and Co-pilot+ as ev¹c features; they are not included on the ev¹e.

Waypoints and Pathfinder — ev¹c only

For the last few metres

Waypoints lets you save key places in your home as destinations. Say “take me to the fridge” or tap a saved spot, and the machine takes you there automatically.

Pathfinder navigates narrow spaces with ease. Tap the map on the screen to choose your destination and it moves you smoothly through tight or challenging spaces while you sit back. Waypoints and Pathfinder are ev¹c features and are not included on the ev¹e.

Some features arrive through over-the-air updates rather than on the day the vehicle is delivered. If a particular feature matters to you, ask us and we will confirm what is enabled at the time you order.

The Strutt battery module

Range and charging

How far it goes, and how you charge it

On the long-range 640 Wh lithium iron phosphate battery the ev¹c is rated for 32 km with evSense switched off, or 26 km with it running. Charging takes about two hours to 80 per cent and about four hours to full.

Speed is selectable for indoor and footpath use, plus a Level S setting of 10 km/h, as per Australian Standards. There is a USB-C Power Delivery outlet on board, and a freewheel mode for when someone needs to push.

Strutt's range figures come from their own laboratory testing, from a full battery at 20 °C with a 91 kg load held at a constant 6.4 km/h on a smooth, level, hard surface. Treat them as a ceiling rather than a promise: hills, cold weather, heavier loads and rougher ground all shorten a real day's range.

Warranty and support

Warranty covers a manufacturing defect on a machine bought through an official channel and still inside its period. The main frame is covered for 5 years, with shorter terms on suspension, powertrain, battery and electrical parts. The full terms, the exclusions and the machine's regulatory paperwork are set out on the Strutt ev¹c warranty page and the certifications page.

These warranty terms are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing set out above reduces or replaces them.

Ask us to confirm the terms that apply to your order in writing before you buy. Whatever the terms, the local part does not change: delivery includes handover training, and afterwards you have on-call support on 0490 756 659. You can also read the Strutt ev¹c user manual (PDF on strutt.inc, opens in a new tab).

Free trials are available within 50km of Ballarat, and trials further afield can be arranged for an additional fee. Either way you use the machine on your own ground first.
